I just recently started using Nero and Im lost when it comes to using the wave editor. When I add a track to the window and get the spectrogram I cant get the effects option on the top toolbar to highlight for me so I can apply them. Can anybody here shed light on this?Im using tracks previously ripped to my pc.Right now it just plays the track but I cant seem to edit it in any way.I downloaded the maunual but it didnt help me much.I know it's something simple Im just overlooking.

I believe that the waveditor's only purpose is to edit wav files before actual burning to cd.. but I haven't been using that part of Nero in a long time.

Is there any reason why you don't use free programs like Audacity?

I think I figured out the answer to my question by just playing around.Im new to using music editing software.I got nero because it eliminated the gaps between tracks of music I ripped.I have never used Audacity.I hope youre not going to tell me it's just as good as nero after I paid my $80.I will check it out also.
