No, IMO.

At least it had a relatively plausible plot, like all of Elvis' movies.

With the exception of Harum Scarum. A far east country kidnaps an American movie star because of his "martial arts" prowess in order to assassinate the king? And he falls in love with a princess to boot?!

Awful. Just awful. (n)

Harum Scarum beats Frankie and Johnny for worst movie, hands down.

I think 'Live A Little, Love A Little' was Elvis' worst film. There were only about four other people in the film which had a poor storyline. However, Elvis looked great and that saved it.

Frankie and Johnny was bad, indeed. Harum Scarum was not a good movie either but two beautiful songs were included in it; "Kismet" and "So close yet so far from paradise".

I watched some of it on sunday but got bored half way through, i think elvis looked big around the stomach area in this film and he seemed uncomfortable.

Frankie & Johnny was not as bad as, IMO, Paradise Hawaiian Style. That movie was just boring for me. There was a beginning and an end and no middle save him singing and picking up girls. Just a bad script. Harem Scarem I liked a little better, but not by much & that title is just plain stupid, too. I prefer the title Harem Holiday to Harem Scarem!

I'm talking about the actual plot here.

Harum Scarum was the worst plot of any film.

Simply beyond ridiculous.

Nononononooooo :D

Easy Come Easy Go is handsdown Elvis worst movie: Elvis looked un healthy and uninspired, the soundtrack was really bad and the script wasn't even funny, it was plain silly (friendly word for stupid) :'(

Many of the bad movies are my favourite soundtracks: Harum Scarum, Paradise Hawaiian Style and Frankie&Johnny... I'll see you in court :D

IMO The Trouble with Girls is Elvis' worse movie, the only part of that movie that I like to watch is the scene where he is sitting playing the piano singing Almost

Without reading any other responses, I'm going to say NO WAY!
The worst by far, in fact the only one I HATE, is "the Trouble with Girls".

I love that song from it Clean up your own backyard, but that is the only
thing I can take from that film.

Yes, I find Trouble With Girls is the most boring Elvis film. If you compare what he has to do and say to the other key actors you will feel very short changed!

Harum Scarum for sure. Frankie and Johnny is running a close second.

No way. F&J has some great lines:

"What am I? A memory expert"

The search for a red head outside the ladies room - "Heaven only knows"

"Go away old man"

Thinking about it though, these are all lines from the older chap. Some of the funniest in an Elvis film though.

The worst film has to be "Easy Come, Easy Go." Elvis must have been paid a fortune to sing "Yoga Is As Yoga Does."

JDI think Easy Come Easy Go is probably the worst.
I liked "The Trouble with Girls"- the plot is passable, the period it depicts was depicted well, it has great co-stars, the music is good, and Elvis's acting is more natural IMO. (And as has been noted Elvis looked fit and healthy)
"Harum Scarum" I also like- it is pure farce. Plot is a joke but to me its a nice pleasant diversion.

IMO Frankie and Johnny is not Elvis' worst movie. I haven't seen all of the movies yet, but from the ones I have seen I can't say there's one I don't like at all...:hmm: I think there are some songs in that movie that are just brilliant, like "Please don't stop loving me" and "What every woman lives for". Also, IMO, Elvis looked great in every movie I have seen so far and that makes it interesting only watching him :D:P

"Frankie and Johnny" is an enjoyable musicalish kind of movie, I think. The least enjoyable I've seen is "Clambake", I think. But at least none of his movies are overly violent, offensive or hurtful.

People clue in on different things though, I hate the Trouble with Girls, its not even watchable to me but some of the others people have mentioned as their choices I either like or , they're at least passable to me.

I agree, Paradise Hawaiian Style has no redeeming features. Poor songs and poor script. At least Frankie & Johnny has some very funny lines and also includes the song Hard Luck with Elvis wearing a cool suit.

I used to loathe Stay Away Joe as the worst Elvis movie.

but, last year, I started to watch each movie after the other - when I hit Tickle Me, I stopped mid-movie

For me, Elvis' worst movie is 'Charro'. Just look at the number of times the word 'Jess' is said!!!! I got so fed up with this. However, Elvis looks good and is trim. Just for the record, two of my favourite Elvis films are 'Tickle Me' and 'Stay Away Joe'.

I didn't see this movie until it came out on DVD. I'd seen the trailer back in the day before it was released in the theatres, and when I saw the part where he smacked down the leopard I thought " This is the pits" and I never did go to see it. Having now seen it, I made the right decision. There are some good songs in it though.
