It seems like Elvis did a concert in Las Vegas in 1956...Anyone has the setlist of it? I can't find much about this concert

He was performing at 'New Frontier Hotel' and the closing performance on 6th May was recorded, which was released for 25th Anniversary on 'Elvis Aaron Presley [the 8-record box set]'. Four of the songs (Heartbreak Hotel, Long Tall Sally, Blue Suede Shoes and Money Honey) can also be found on 'Live In Las Vegas [box set]' -> disc 4.
here's the link I've got info from: http://www.elvispresleymusic.com.au/articles/new_frontier_hotel_las_vegas_1956.html
...hope this helps a bit =)

Elvis performed for two weeks at the New Frontier in 1956.
It was supposed to be for a month, but due to the poor reception he received, the engagement was truncated.
Remember, this was not an "Elvis Presley Show" - he was third on the bill, behind Freddy Martin and his orchestra and comedian Shecky Greene. Elvis was the show's closer.
April 23 was the first night. After that, he opened the show. Again, presumably because of the poor reception, they moved him to the start of the show as he wasn't strong enough (in their eyes) to be the closer.
The May 6, 1956 performance (as first released in 1980) is complete. Elvis only sang a few songs each night. There were two shows a night.
Elvis finished at the New Frontier on May 9. He was paid $12,500 a week for his trouble.

Heres a review of the show:

Accent is on pitch and pull for this batch of acts comprising the current Venus Room Bill. The powers of the New Frontier are pitching the local premiere of Elvis Presley, but the pull will be in Freddy Martin's smooth music making and word-of-mouth cheering for Shecky Greene's unbridled comedy.......
Elvis Presley, arriving here on the wave of tremendous publicity, fails to hit the promised mark in a desert isle surfeited with rock and rollers who play in shifts atop every cocktail lounge on the Strip. The brash, loud braying of his rhythm and blues catalog (and mind you, they are big hits everywhere it seems) which albeit rocketed him to the big time, is overbearing to a captive audience. In a lounge, one can up and go -- fast. But in a dining room, the table sitter must stay, look and listen the thing out. Which is perhaps why Presley received applause on his opening show edged with polite inference only. For the teen-agers, the long, tall Memphis lad is a whiz; for the average Vegas spender or showgoer, a bore. His musical sound with a combo of three is uncouth, matching to a great extent the lyric content of his nonsensical songs.
IMO-This was not the time to introduce rock in Vegas. The audiences were mostly
40 somethings and over.

Thanks to everybody for your answers, I thought it would more be a show featuring only Elvis...no wonder why it didn't work well

I have recordings of this period,on the Live in Las Vegas box,and it's really funny because to me it sounds like he was nervous, and after 13 years he got back, and the whole town was his...:D
