I think there are albums with studio material from 69 (something like Back in Memphis maybe...is that the right title?) But if you are refering only to rehearsals done for a concert in Las Vegas...was there ever something like that released?? That would be great :D

No Pauline, unfortunately no recordings from 1969 Las Vegas rehearsals have ever been released anywhere. :'(
Elvis did, in fact, hold rehearsals at RCA studios in Hollywood, CA between July 18 - July 23, and at The International Hotel between July 24 - July 31.
According to the book Elvis Sessions III by Joe Tunzi, a good number of songs were supposedly rehearsed prior to his return to the stage in 1969.
Some of the "rare" titles mentioned were: Matchbox, Such A Night, Green Green Grass of Home, Memphis Tennessee, Folsom Prison Blues, Hello Josephine, From A Jack To A King, Any Day Now, Susie Q, plus his standards such as I Got A Woman, Houd Dog, Suspicious Minds, That's Alright, One Night, Jailhouse Rock, Don't Be Cruel.
Whether or not these sessions exist on tape is unknown, but considering they were done in the RCA studios, my opionion is that they were taped.....question is - who's got them (if they're still around?)

I have a Vegas rehearsal version of True Love Travels On A Gravel Road, on a bootleg LP from years ago, the name of which escapes me right now.
I know he sang it (once) in Feb '70, but he also rehearsed it in '69.
So can anyone confirm a date for this rehearsal version?
