I just wanted to let you know what I saw on tv today by chance.
I missed the beginning and only took notice when I heard the narrator say:
......in the past rock stars were demolishing hotel rooms and they showed a totaly destroyed hotel room ;),
today stars are dull and are being knighted and they showed Paul McCartney.... or they are saving the world, they showed Bono.
In the past you were looking up to rock stars and they needed to have talent and skills and they showed Elvis in The Comeback Special and Elvis kissing fans (y),
today you are looking down on stars, they showed Paris Hilton and asked: will she be remembered in 50 years???
Then they showed Marilyn Monroe and asked: or will she be remembered!!! The narrator answered the question with a simple: Exactly!!!
I found that so very striking and I was surprised Elvis was chosen as example because I am not used to such a healthy attitude being expressed in public! This made my day:D
