I realise that Elvis smoked cigars, but it also seemed that he didn't seem to mind other people around him smoking. Lifestyles have almost certainly changed since the 70's, but to see a photo of Vernon on stage with a cigarette in his hand is weird :lol: this sort of thing just doesn't happen these day unless you are Keith Richards :supriced:

It's the same with Alcohol, Elvis didn't seem to mind that others liked the odd tipple but abstained himself.

Do you think Elvis was accepting of other peoples habits, do you think he would have accepted the changes over the years or stayed true to himself?

IMO In private he probably would still not care, but since so much of the aim today about alcohol and cigarettes is to keep children from starting I think he would have wanted in public to "go with the flow" so to speak.

I agree, I think he would have been basicallythe same with the exception of keeping smoke away from small children.

As for himself, I think he would also have gone on as usual.

I agree,but I don't think he minded it if he was in public and some of his group were smoking.It's there own choice if they want to smoke.
