Well, if you've heard the American Way CDs of outtakes from the Memphis '69 sessions, the bit that makes me laugh is the first line of one of the outtakes of Do You Know Who I Am, where he sings "Do you **** off too much?"

(I've blanked the word out myself here, even though the term isn't an obscenity in Australia; but I know how you yanks are about it. Let's just say it's slang for pleasuring oneself!)

And let's also say my mate jak might get a kick out of it!

Another good one is from the July 1970 TTWII rehearsal outtakes.

During one of the takes of You've Lost That Loving Feeling.

Instead of singing "It makes me just feel like crying, baby. But baby, something beautiful's dying" he sings "It makes me just feel like s**tting, Oh-ooh, I feel like quitting ..."
(y)

I have a question about Elvis changing the lyrics in Baby, Let's Play House.
The original lyrics and music were written by Arthur Gunter.
I think Elvis changed the words in one line of the song.
In Gunter's original version it says : "You may get religion but baby don't you be nobody's fool"

- and in Elvis' version :You may have a pink cadillac, but don't you be nobody's fool.

I don't know if i am right, please correct me if I am wrong :D

Oh yeah!
Also in the TTWII rehearsals where he sings, "What's the matter, fatty?" or something like that instead of "Don't Cry Daddy". Or "Cause Everytime I cry I know I beat my little children so, I wonder, would it be the same tonight?" :D ..
Or instead of "The next step is love", he sings, "The Next Step is Sex..."

Oh man.. he was so funny.. .

EDIT:// http://jordans-elvis-world.com/audio/cutme/16.ram Try this one out.. it's a studio rehearsal of Memories or so.. Its so funny..!

I have this Cd that I got off of the net and it's filled with bloopers and rehearsals. There's a blooper of "Heart of Rome" on it and he changes the lyrics to "I'll take a **** in every fountain...." Then you hear the band slow down and almost stop but he giggles a little bit and continued to sing so the band kept playing. I cracked up!:lmfao:

No Suzan, this one is different from " you gave at your bald head and wish you had hair". This is from the same song at another time and he simply says "and I'm standing there without any hair".

EDIT: I think I figured out how to do it...I hope.....

Nope, didn't work....*sigh*....I'm basically wanting to "embed" videos into my posts....but don't know how...

I like the version of "Love Me" from TTWII..."if you ever go, darlin' I'll be oh, so h***y...."
It never ceases to make me giggle! :) But my favorite is and will probably always be the laughing version of AYLT. (y)

I donīt know too much about this things either and maybe some moderator could tell you better than I but I think you have to look for the embed symbol at the video page (if itīs a YouTube one) copy the link it gives you under the embed word and then come here and click on the YouTube icon and past it.

He was quite clever at the adlibs. I love the `P... in every fountain' from Heart of Rome. It fit so perfectly.
His adlibs in the rehearsal version of Stranger are also very suitable, though not really meant to be funny

The laughing version of AYLT at first choice. The '70 TTWII "Love Me" and the '77 EIC "AYLT" ( "Honey - Who I'm talking to?" "If you don't come back to me - then gonna heck with you")
Also funny that he sometimes changed the lyrics or something in one take and cracked up in the following takes exectly at the same position. ("Goin' Home" takes or "Beach Shack")

Anything.

I'm too sleepy to remember specifics, at the moment, hehe. I was listening to a song the other day, just about got through it, he changed the last few words. I fondly laughed and laughed.

Anything, cause he is funny.

Guess I'm a fan? lol. xxx

A Good Example, When Elvis recorded "Memories" he omitted several verses. By doing so he turned Mac Davis "Memories" From A somewhat melancholy tune into a song that lent itself to a Rosier outlook.
The Following Verses were omitted

Memories I cling To them and Tremble Until The Dawn
Memories Are all That I Have Left Now That You're Gone
Oh What Would I Do without my Sweet Memories...

Memories Sadly flagrant flowers turning Brown
Memories Soft Distand showers coming Down

I love this too!!! And after the "hup, hup 2,3,4" he says "she used to march a little bit, too." Personally, I just love all of those "Yeah's" and "Baby's" he throws into his concerts...........very appealing.........especially in that deep throated voice that he had...........OMGGGG!!!!!!

I love "Myrna Smith and JD Sumner had a very mad affair. When their wives and husbands found them, you saw nothing but flying teeth and hair."
"The moon stood still on blueberry hill, and lingered until my scarf turned blue."
"You should've heard that knocked-up sonofa***** sing."
"But we've yet to taste the icing on the cake that we've been licking off your ***."
(During Are You Lonesome Tonight?) (mumbles) "plus tax."
"I hope this suit don't tear up baby."
"Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair?"
"You have made my life a wreck, a complete, and I love you so."
"Please lets forget the past, before I kick your -"
"If you ever go, darling I'll be oh, so horny."
"Jojo lost his *** in Tuscon, Arizona, la la la da da."
"Cause honey, you know I've never lied to you, no not much."
and so many more...
