Two Similar Songs?

I was listening to the He Touched Me album and I listened to the song He is My Everything, then I listen to the 50 Greatest Love Songs album and I listened to the song There Goes My Everything and I noticed that they sound the same. Has anybody else noticed this? Its weird.

yes they are the same just some of the words are different don't know why.

The melodies are, in fact, the same.

Songwriter Dallas Frazier became a born-again Christian sometime after writing "There Goes My Everything" and he just changed the words of the song and the title to "He Is My Everything".

Although I like There Goes My Everything abit more than He Is My Everything!
