With the recent Unchained Melody and EIC poll I thought about why not an EIC and Shakin Up The Great Lakes..(April 24th 1977 Ann Arbor show and the April 26th 1977kalamazoo)Which one would you take. Me, I'm going with Shaking Up The Great Lakes which has the Ann Arbor show, hands down, the best concert from 1977 imo! The sound of the show is superb imo..an essential for any '77 fan for sure.

I agree Toffe they both are great..Kalamazoo wasn't so good though. Elvis' voice sounded weak and he seemed out of breathe alot during the show.

Yeah, maybe a little bit!
Are you thinking of the Kalamazoo show 21 Okt, 76 or 21 April 77 ?

Hopefully BMG's E&Roger bring out those Great Lakes Tour shows on "next FTD release" (hopefully with a lot of color photos in accompanying booklet please) !!!
Heard that FOR THE ASKING studio sessions are gonna be next FTDdigipack
Does anyone know ??? Also heard that there might be two new movie FTD digipacks out soon...Wild in Country plus FStar (disappointing?) and maybe
King Creole complete session with outtakes & altern. versions of TROUBLE, NEW ORLEANS, HARD H WOMAN, DIXIELAND ROCK that have never been released or heard before .... Who can shed some preview & confidential
light on this ?:clap:

I wonder if they can bring out an FTD digipack with two FULL CDs or even an FTD Box with 4 CDs that would include the Great Lakes shows, the Elvis in Concert CD, the Unchained Melody CD plus extra songs sung on the 1977 last year tour?????????
That would be my favourite FTD CD Box that covers the last two years of Elvis' life.

Wonder if they can bring out a FTD 4 CD Box including the EinC CD plus extra songs sung during the last year of his life 1977 plus the Great Lakes CD plus Unch MelodyCD;
all in one Box (great renderings of unheard versions of Hurt, I really don't wanna know, Little Sis, I can't stop loving you a.o.)??

Does anyone have news about HOW and WHAT BMG's E&Roger think re. this suggestion and the next FTDs we can expect in 2008 ?? KCreole complete (altern versions and work parts of) session??? Just imagine Trouble, HHWoman, NOrleans, DixieRock versions never heard before.....Or will we get WinC or Fl Star or ...LaLLaL, Charro and CofHabit???
P-l-e-a-s-e boys, get us the great stuff...

The shows I'm hoping FTD or "Import" label would find Soundboards to Chicago '77 shows. I would love to hear the last time Elvis would do reprise of Hurt and roll on the stage. And Polk Salad was out of this world from what I saw on home videos of Chicago.

Other show I know they have it recorded on soundboard and if they look hard enough they would find it would be closing show in Ashville in 1975 when he opened with That's All Right Mama, and tons of rare live songs.

Love to all,
Tim Dudley

:DI love it when I hear people say Elvis was weak in voice, when even in "so-called?" weak voice, he blow's away anybody on the face of the earth with his power and just overall wonderful voice and talent!!!!!:D(y):king:(y)
