My Wish for Graceland

You know what I'd like to see. A family reunion. I mean Presley's and Smiths, ok, Cilla's family can come too. LOL Film it and let them each say something or tell a special story about Elvis. Wouldn't that be cool. And have a special place for pictures of the ones who so love Elvis and have passed. What do you think. Do you have any wishes for Graceland?

BTW I think if you put that much family into Graceland at once, Elvis would be in attendance, and...maybe even let people know it.

That would be a grand idea Missy, wouldn't mind seeing something like that at graceland. Lisa would get to see her family and catch up on old times. Elvis would be proud to see his family all togther again.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Missy! Sure..I'll just tell Pris and Lisa to be nice and have a huge family reunion! I honestly think it's a wonderful idea...and something that should have been done a long time ago. You mention it to cousin Billy - tell him I've got his back if they mess with him!! ;)

"Burning"

I wished it was called "Burn in hell you stupid STUPID ******************** " as that would be more applicable right now as a song title in my life but oh well he he he.... I'm sure I'll write my own about that :)

"Burning For You" is not a new cover or song. This was a song that was recorded while we were making "Now What" as a possible cover .
It wasn't high in the running , especially once Johnny Ramone died and he asked me to Cover "Here Today Gone Tomorrow" Obviously that latter was chosen for the record.

Don't know Jen. You are right - Billy and his family are Lisa's family from her Grandmother's side. Why doesn't she want to know them? She certainly did as a child and played with the the kids - and now all of a sudden - she doesn't care anymore? That is just wrong. I think it would be good for Billy and his family as well to be included in Lisa and her kids lives - I think Billy needs something like that to make him feel better - because everytime you see an interview with him - you see how much he misses Elvis.

One day Lisa will wake up and realize how important that side of the family is. Billy and his family are the ONLY links she has to her Dad's family.

I don't think he has. I guess it bothers me that kids were involved. Billy and Jo's boys grew up with Lisa. If adults have a problem, they shouldn't make the kids suffer. Now Billy and Jo's kids have kids, so does Lisa. It would be nice for them all to see each other. And I also think it would be nice to let the other cousins get togeather on the Smith and Presley side. They all have personal stories. And I think that is what Elvis would like. But yeh, just a dream. I do think it would bring healing for all involved. I'm thinking though that there are some stubborn people we are talking about.

On the other hand, I've heard that Elvis didn't like much of the family on either side, due to drinking and them coming around only when they wanted or needed something, from what I've been told, as far as family goes, who he wanted around him, were already there, even prior to Graceland.

I think you may be right cprimm, but I don't think being from the South has anything to do with it, I think more the first part of what you said, and I think that has a lot to do w/Pris, from some things I've been told.
Amazing to me that the Beaulieus are now connected and go to Graceland rather then Elvis' actual family. It irks me to be honest, as she WALKED AWAY, why is she or her family even involved? And it bugged me to see Pris sitting in Elvis seat @ the Christmas dinner there.

Well, I'll tell you one thing about Elvis, he may have been upset by what some of the family did, but he still loved them. That's just the way he was. I sure do not think Elvis would have held a grudge about what people did so many years ago. Some of the people are gone and the others are now older and more mature, I can guarantee that not one would expect a hand out from Pricilla.
