This is one that I really like too...
Would anyone know if there is footage anywhere of him singing this live? I tried Youtube but didn't have much luck. Not sure if it's on any of his concert dvd's?

Elvis most definitely did not sing this track in concert.

I don't think Elvis sang this live but there are a few outakes which have been released.

It was never performed live.
Also, there have been no outtakes released of this track as far as I am aware, nor are there any available on bootlegs.
The only version available is take 1.
I may be wrong, but my memory usually serves me well ...

for an album that had so many mix matches in styles of music and no direction..this song is really good.

These are two different versions. I may have been mistaken to use the word outtake. But they do differ.

The only problem I had with this song when I first heard it on "Elvis Now" many moons ago was the way Elvis's voice was mixed so low in the recording....thank God they fixed that problem when the 70s box set came out.

The version featured on Pure Diamonds is undubbed - without the production as featured on the final track. That is the only difference.
It is the same take; therefore there is no outtake. It is exactly the same version of the song.
