Elvis has been the focussed of negative and positive criticism from the day he started to be a celebrity and more after his death. If you are given the chance to be him, do you believe you could have done better? This is just to find out according to you how Elvis should have run his life better right from the start of his career. (y)(y)

I THINK HE DID WHAT HE COULD.STARDON HIT HIM SO FAST AND SO YOUNG THAT IT WAS HARD ON HIM.IT WAS HARD ON HIS MOM TOO.HE WENT FROM A TRUCK DRIVER TO THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL.I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL WITH "HIS FRIENDS"ALOT OF THEM USED HIM.DURING THE 70'S HE WAS ON TOUR ALOT AND THAT BURN HIM OUT.BUT,THEN AGAIN---HE WAS DIFFERENT---HE WAS GIFTED--HE WAS ONE OF THOSE MIRACLE BLESSED HUMAN BEING THAT IS A GIFT FROM GOD.---GOD HAVE HIM RESTIN IN PEACE.:king:
Second guessing is almost an art when we talk of Elvis.
I could give you a whole list of how I would have behaved and what I would have done better.
But its only me seeing "what he did wrong-then trying to right it."
How I would have "acted and reacted" to the unprecedented success he had I do not have the slightest clue. I may not have lasted 2 years instead of 23 How could anyone know what they would have done better or worse.
The idea of worldwide fame, money everywhere, legal contracts of every sort, family changes, friend changes, the pace of his first years,...its overwhelming to think about.

KPM without the benefit of knowing all the negative things about our man. In your personal belief and capacity, how really would you have reacted to the impact of success to your life. I am sure each one of us have our unique way of running our lives particularly in a situation as grant as the success that hit Elvis. Do you think you can face the music?

Hard to be a better singer!!!
How about say no to those lousy 60s movies, not get in the spiral of drugs, stop touring so frequently from 1974, get new inspired management in 1974,

All of us can "see" in hindsite what we could have or should have done.
As his song says; "regrets, I have a few" . In the long run we each have to do the best we can with the knowledge we have at any given time.
I'd never "second guess' anyone.

I have no idea-I have never had anything-anything-in my professional life on the scale nor magnitude of the change Elvis had. (very few in the world have had) So to try and give any indepth answer would be just "a guess" it would have no base in reality of what I would do-I just don't know.

I feel similar to the way KPM does. I can't find a way to put myself in Elvis' shoes and not just because I'm a woman but because everyone reacts to situations differently. I don't think I would handle fame very well as I like my privacy too much.....money I could handle :D but not fame.
