You know, I remember reading in several places that Elvis wouldn't allow silver fillings in his teeth (he didn't like how they looked in person and on camera). So, supposedly all his were porcelain. Doesn't that tooth up above have silver in it?

Elvis Presley's Tooth Up for Sale on Ebay
By Alice Meadows
Elvis fans everywhere will be logging into Ebay this week in an attempt to buy a tiny little hunk of burning love. Jesse Briggs, a millionaire who has had a rock 'n' roll museum for quite a while, has placed one of his strangest items up for sale: Elvis Presley's tooth. The auction started September 9 and will run for seven days.
Jesse Briggs, a millionaire who made his fortune founding the Yellow Strawberry Global Salons, purchased The King's tooth back in 1996 from Startifacts. Startifacts obtained the tooth from Scott Velvet, who originally got the tooth from his father, Jimmy Velvet. Jimmy Velvet was a close friend of Elvis' and founder of the Elvis Presley Museum, Inc. Apparently, Velvet acquired the tooth from an old girlfriend of Elvis' named Linda Thompson.
The winner of the Elvis Tooth Auction will also be presented with all the necessary documentation to authenticate the small piece of The King's dental work, signed by Jimmy Velvet, himself. The bidding on Elvis' tooth has been set to start at a hefty $10,000 and is expected to skyrocket.
If Elvis' tooth does not interest you, perhaps a few other items located in the Yellow Strawberry Museum Store on Ebay might pique your interest. Currently, Jesse Briggs also has a lock of Elvis Presley's hair up for auction, as well as an authentic suit and notes from Jack Ruby's estate and a lock of King George III hair.
So why, exactly, does Jesse Briggs have all of these eccentric items? After he became rich he decided to purchase these odd items for a collection. A sample of his other acquisitions includes various locks of hair from Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, John F. Kennedy, and even Abraham Lincoln. Many of these artifacts have been located at his rock 'n' roll museum for the past 30 years.
However, all good things must come to an end, and Jesse Briggs is retiring. He will be spending his time at his oceanfront home in Puerto Rico called "Casa Del Mar" and with this move, he will be selling a majority of his strange collection. The tooth of Elvis Presley goes up for sale in a timely fashion as it was listed on Ebay in celebration of The King's 51st year anniversary of appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Vultures is another name for profiters who will never stop on anything for money. This is one of a classical example of how so many people capitalized on ELVIS popularity for personal gain. This is what I call dirty business indeed

I totally agree. This auction shows a complete lack of respect for a deceased fellow human being (n)

If this is true, I wonder if Linda sold it to him. A tooth is strange thing to keep from an ex-boyfriend.

Upon seeing this my 9 year old brother suggested that we buy it, pull out one of our own teeth, and glue Elvis' in in its place. I don't know whether I should be proud or frightened. :hmm:
