oh my goodness...tough question. I always like to remember him laughing, smiling, and a loving and giving person. I never much thought about all the "behind the scenes" stuff until joining this group. So now I'm learning more about that too - but honestly - I don't let that affect how I feel about Elvis, I will be a die hard, loyal fan until the day I day....I just love him so much.

In his prime. The early years (1955-1958) When he was just getting into show business and was enjoying what he always wanted. And when his mother was alive, it's nice to see him and the person he loves most of all, and who he cherished.

I like to see him enjoying life and smiling. And i will always love the way he messes around, what a great sense of humour he had. But when he was younger he was happy i think, not that he weren't during his other years, but he was taking it in and enjoying the fame.

Oh my...this is a tough one! I suppose I would have to say that I like to remember Elvis for all of the joy and happiness that he has brought to so many people. The love that he showed for his fans...even when he probably didn't feel like it at times. The generousity, the talent, the sense of humor...and most of all, the enormous TALENT! Elvis is a memory that I cherish...and one that I will never forget. He lives in my heart...always will. :king: :'(

This IS a tough one...:hmm:

I would say in my minds eye I think of Elvis during the Aloha show.

That was argueably the most exciting moment of his career to him,

IMHO.

I feel he had endured enough in his life at that point with the loss

of his Mother, and divorce from Priscilla, and the jaded success of

his movies, to put that emotion into his music.

Also the substance abuse hadn't taken complete control, and he

was at his vocal and physical best, still having fun and interested

in his music.:D

I like to remember Elvis as the man with the most fantastic voice I've ever heard, the glow in his face when he smiled and that beautiful big cat-like movement across the stage.

Not strange in my book! His laughter was CONTAGIOUS! The "funny" version of Are You Lonesome Tonight is one of my favorites...just because he is laughing! :P LOL...no one else in my family, except my daughter, understands why that appeals to me so much...but I just love to hear him laugh. And too, as I've said before, it's just that VOICE...whether he is singing or talking, it's just something about that voice. Makes you wanna melt...:king:

And also his laugh, his smile and his kind soul.

I want to remember Elvis when he was not sick and in bad health.
But sick or not sick,he always was true, and that's how we have to remember him.
