The Aloha 2 dvd-set is the one to go for! than you have both shows in great picture and sound quality, and as a bonus you'll get all the insert songs on the 2nd dvd..
The SE single disc brings nothing new or more than the 2 disc set, and i believe that the 2disc set is pretty much the same price as the single disc version...

Get both if you can afford it.

And if you're pedantic, like me, the single disc edition finally fixed that annoying mistake during the intros of the main show, where a few seconds from the rehearsal show was used!

But if I had to choose, I'd go for the two-disc version, for both shows.

I will recomend the Deluxe Edition, there you have everything, but on the Special edition you can get the easter eggs, press conferances(y)

I disagree about the sound on the deluxe edition....when I see/hear Elvis in concert I (like him) want the full impact of the band and the backing singers...and, in my opinion, you don't get that effect with the deluxe edition because you can barely hear the background singers.

I'm debating on whether to pick up the single-disc edition...I've heard that the 2001 theme isn't on the disc...which is stupid if you ask me...

I have the deluxe edition 2 dvd set. It has the full rehearsal show, the show as it went out and all the takes for the inserted 5 songs. So its pretty much the whole deal.

It isn't, no. But as I said, the intros have been fixed, and you get the Easter eggs and press conference as toffe mentioned ...

Just curious if you have 5.1 Dolby digital surround sound on your DVD player?
I hear everything very clear and do get full impact when I play this through my system. (an RCA Home Theater system) But when I watch it in my bedroom with plain stereo reproduction it does sound much different.
