Scott, so well written, and so true about being an Elvis fan. I was also there in June of this year Father's Day weekend and left the following Tuesday, when were you there? We stayed at Heartbreak Hotel. I also turn 40 this month, on the 31st. I was 9 (2 weeks shy of 10) when he died....broke my heart....and my heart is still breaking for his loss.....great article, thank you.

I was there from Thursday June 28 to Saturday June 30th; my 40th birthday was on the 29th. In 1988, I arrived on June 28th, and stayed almost two weeks.
