Almost leaving for Memphis, and of course I want to buy me there some souvenirs, but I don't want to buy rubbish. So I probably stick to the music. Now I still dont have 22 ftd's and of course I cant buy them all, can you tell me which I really need to have in my collection?

Here are the missing ones:

1. An American Trilogy
2. Big Boss Man
3. Clambake
4. Dinner at eight
5. Dixieland Rocks
6. Double Trouble
7. Dragon Heart
8. Easy Come, Easy Go
9. Harum Scarum
10. I found my thrill
11. I sing all kinds
12. It happens at the world fair
13. It's midnight
14. Live in LA
15. Raised on Rock
16. Souther nights
17. Summer fesitval
18. Today
19. Too much monkey business
20. Tucson '76

You will be fine with customs, and what always works is taking off the wrapping and pretend they were yours and you took em with you on the trip.

The titles mentioned by Memory are really good ones!

Enjoy your trip Anoushka!

Hi, Anoushka!

My copies of I Sing All Kinds and Raised On Rock came yesterday and I've had a very busy weekend but listened here and there as time allowed. I've made more time for ISAK so far and I absolutely love it, and ROR has definitely impressed as well. I've played less than half of it though so I have a lot more listening to do.

ISAK is a very interesting and enjoyable listen, I believe you'll find. Some considerably different vocal treatments can be heard on many tracks. Early Morning Rain is awesome; Elvis' delivery is spot-on and there is some great guitar work as well that is either non-existent on other takes or is just buried in the mix. I'm Leavin' is very cool with Elvis really emoting the somber feel of the song and he and the group still finding their way. His comment at the end that it was tough but worth working on showed his dedication and how much he liked the song. There are a few other songs where he has yet to get the phrasing down or they are clearly inferior to the masters for whatever reason but if you are like me you will still greatly enjoy hearing them. I had been looking forward to this release for some time and it certainly did not disappoint.

You have a great trip!

Hey, you're welcome, PSA.

You're right, I'm not that far but it doesn't look like I'll be going at this point. Between getting the kids geared back up for school, other family commitments and a finite amount of vacation time, I don't think I can swing it this year, sadly. Actually I may be getting back down there around Christmastime.

Sorry I won't be seeing you. Have a wonderful time and enjoy your FTDs!

I liked almost of FTD releases, only one I don't like is one with Home Recordings From 1960's.
The sound is to high and low at times , I got five FTD I buy anothers I hear from friends collections so on.
The 1976 sessions the best to have, I got it, The cost is to high for me, I'm on fix income, that 40.00 dollars, go for my medince ,
I saw the Elvis At the Movies CDS at Wal-mart today, I wish have money to get it
I'm waiting for VIVA LAS VEGAS Double CD. , I know I will wait I have money again. Tom

your right Tom it all costs a lot of money, but I believe you can buy them for 30 dollars at EPE, stil expensive but less than the 40 you mentioned.

Yes...As much fun as I have had there during Elvis Week and as incredible an experience it is to roam the closed blocks of Elvis Presley Blvd with tens of thousands of fellow fans, my favorite trip to Graceland so far was the one time before that I went in December of 1999.

Like you said the temperature is most pleasant, and getting the whole Christmas experience -- loving the season as I do and being the EP fan that I am, especially knowing that he got so into it as well -- makes it really nice. I definitely recommend that to all.

But I do wish I was going there in a couple weeks! I'm not always crazy about being in a huge crowd, but when it's that many Elvis fans I don't mind in the least. Again, have a great time, Anoushka. One of these years we'll have to have a TCB-World event down there and get everybody together.
