i heard this song ( studio version ) for the first time in ages last night in the chat room, while talking to some very nice people in the chat room. i said that i didnt really like this song very much because ive only really heard it in concert versions.
i think elvis sang it better in the studio version .

I don't know how many times Elvis sang Danny Boy live but I think Sherill Nielsen use to sing Danny Boy while Elvis took a break.
I like the Danny Boy from From Elvis Presley Boulevard and The Jungle Room Sessions albums.(y)

Yeah, Elvis only ever sang Danny Boy live once, as on the Tucson '76 FTD release.

I didn't like that album when I first got it, but I played it a couple of weeks ago after a long while, and it's better than I remember it. Elvis does not sound well at all, but Danny Boy is probably the best song on the album.

After hearing Elvis sing on CD's some songs are clearer and better sound than the vinyl releases. I like playing Danny Boy any time because it's the best version of this song.
