For anyone who has read biographies about Elvis, which is better - the 2 volumes written by Peter Guralnick or the 2 volumes by Jerry Hopkins.
I haven't read the books by Hopkins, I don't know if they are independent of each other.
The books by Guralnick - where Last Train leaves off, Careless Love picks up. I loved the first book, the second one not so much. It doesn't seem as detailed as the first one. For instance, there was only a blurb about Elvis' performance at Madison Square, even though he did that great interview & had sold out performances.
