I love Celine in her own right . Just didn't think they complimemted each other here.
That was & always will be Elvis' song. No one can do it the way he can....;)

I agree, ajr, I didn't feel they complimented each other, either. I'm surprised to read how Celine isn't liked, perhaps too much exposure, or is it just teenagers who don't like her? (We aren't in the loop in Aussie, obviously, lol).

Yes, the song was Elvis' alone, I agree, the way he sung the song, was just so emotional, having someone else there, it just didn't work, for me, anyway.

Since they decided on that song, however, I was thinking of someone else I would chose, rather than Celine, and thought Faith Hill would have been a better choice. Celine was just too much, you know what I mean? What do you think? lol I did watch the video a few more times, and Celine grew on me a bit more, but their voices just didn't seem to blend to me, whereas I thought Faith's would, as her voice is gentle and she isn't so overpowering.

Yep I share the same opinion about this one...I too like Celine but their voices just weren't compatible...though I give them a 5 for the great idea....:D

When he sang a song ,it became his, no matter who sang it before or after.
He put so much depth & feeling into a song like that .....I'm not sure anyone could do the same.
Songs like that were meant to be sung alone, IMO. :)
