Here is the so called BIG news & details on the 2007 DVD releases from Warner Bros. The company will release 9 and possibly 10 DVDs:

1 disc editions:
"Charro!", "Kissin' Cousins", "Girl Happy", "Live a Little, Love a Little" and "Stay Away, Joe".

2 disc editions:
"Elvis: That's the Way It Is" and "This is Elvis"(for the first time ever on DVD)

Deluxe editions:
"Jailhouse Rock" and "Viva Las Vegas".

The editions of "Jailhouse Rock" and "Viva Las Vegas" include a documentary, "TTWII" includes both the original and SE editions while "This Is Elvis" includes the theatrical version and much longer TV version plus other material. The single disc releases probably don't include any extras.

Also mentioned is "Tickle Me", but no details were given.

As the saying goes: "better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick." And means I'll still be able to look forward to spending the rest of my natural life waiting for the slow trickle of new stuff.

Good news on "This is Elvis" and I guess I'll have as many versions of TTWII on DVD as I do cd versions of '68 special.

Not quite what we were hoping for really, its still good to see so many new Elvis products coming out (if you can call them new) but at the same time they could have been so much better.
Not so much the fantastic news that they were promising us but lets hope the TTWII and TIE DVD's have at least something new for us.

I have a little mixed feelings with this news...It's great that they finally release 'this is Elvis' on DVD, with some nice extras...and a clever way of the TTWII movie...the original and the SE in 1 package.
Now let's hope that the original version has a sound upgrade (5.1 dolby digital)..same goes for all the movies..
But why no On Tour release? We thought that the big news was going to be that On Tour finally would see his release on the DVD format..

Good one, Conor! My favorite line from Men in Black is "I'll guess I'll have to buy the White Album again". Ditto for me with Jailhouse Rock & Viva Las Vegas! Guess I'll have to buy these two - Again. But the other releases are not any I have, so I'm looking forward to getting these & soon by the looks of things - very soon!

I came across this story. I really like these new DVD covers but I don't know if it's just for the Aussies...;-)

The only thing I don't like is, that they are using the same pic for King Creole and Girls,Girls,Girls.
I've never liked that King Creole cover because it's miss leading as to what the movie is about.
"The streets of New Orleans and the struggle with getting involved with a gang"
What do you guys think?

Yeah, RCA and the moviecompanies always seemed to manage to use weird pictures for covers or posters. But I have to say, this time, this series looks really great nonetheless:

The picture used for Fun In Acapulco is a poor choice. There are soooo many pictures that are way better. I never liked the picture for King Creole: besides the fact that it doesn't cover the content/feeling of the movie, it seems like there's something wrong with Elvis' eyes.

Since my "natural life" is in the final 3rd, I hope they get some of this stuff out while I can still push the play button.;) :) ;)

I've noticed this two about the eyes! There is nothing different about these releases from the earlier ones right?
