Really? His daughter? That's cool... yeah I didn't think it was a very common way of calling him... I just thought it was cute.

I use "Elvi" as the plural of "Elvis" when I'm talking about my Elvis collection, statues and things.
School latin does wierd things like that to you!

Can't think of the CD's name at this point Elvis Baby, I thought it was FTD's "Dinner At Eight" but that's not it.:hmm: But Elvis' reaction to the name calling is "Don't call me Elvi!";)

HMMM! That's funny! I remember something about that... Poor Elvis, doesn't like my nickname... haha!

I read in "Last Train to Memphis" that the film director of King Creole called him something like that. THe director was polish or austrian or something & his english not very good. He would refer to Elvis as "Elvi" and Walter Mattheu as "Valti". Personally, I think it's cute. I'm surprised he didn't like it. I also read in the same book that he was big on baby talk.

Elvis liked baby talk? How cute! I agree I think it gives Elvis a real warm, friendliness about him when someone would call him Elvi, like you know him personally.

Listen to Live In Las Vegas disc 4 I believe. He talks about his daughter there. He sees a sign that says Elvis but he says "Alvis". He says that is what his daughter calls him. He says "Honey, I'm your daddy. Don't call me that." Then he says that she says "Ok, Alvis". Pure funny moment.
