I have a question. who gave elvis presley the title King of Rock 'n Roll?
I know why he was but who named him this.

RCA first dubbed him this title after the weekly trade magazine Variety flashed it across its front page, in November 1956.

And as you would probably know, Elvis didn't mind being called "The King of Rock'n'Roll", but didn't like "The King", as believed the big J.C. was the one and only king.

Thanks for the info srj1967, i knew he did not like being called the king i was not sure where he got the name from.
