Hiya everyone.
I am farely new here though i have posted a lot.
I was going to tell you all my story on how i became an Elvis fan and why i love him so much.
I visited Elvis in November 2005. And i wasn't an Elvis fan at all, i was only 14 and i loved R&B And HipHop and i only new about 3 songs that Elvis had sung. So we visited Beale street and i loved the atmosphere, we went into a club, i think it was called 3,2,1, or something like that and there was an Elvis Tribute artist singing 'Burning Love' and i found it catchy.
Anyway, we went to Graceland the next day and i found it amazing that i was in the King's house..ME !! It was so hard to believe.
And as we walked around the meditation garden they played 'If i can dream' and i loved it, i tried to skip back to it but it wouldn't and i thought 'what a great song'. Well, we walked around Elvis' plains and i saw that on one of his chairs had plastic over it so no one could ruin it, well there was a little tiny hole in it, so i touched it. Yep, i shouldn't have but have touched something Elvis did.
Well, that night i couldn't stop thinking about our visit and i kept saying to my parents 'I can't believe i have been in Elvis' house' and they remember me saying it. And i really wanted to go back the next day but we only had a day left. I was gutted. We Visited Sun Studios and again, i got to touvh Elvis' microphone, it was very tall.
And in Beale street i saw Elvis stuff and wanted it, but i thought if i asked for it my parents would know i started to like Elvis, i guess i was young and embarrassed, but i got a TCB keyring and a Sun Studios one too.
When we came back home, i decided to put on 'Elvis by the Presleys' as my parents had bought it and i found it amazing..so me...liking Elvis?? No i thought..but i listened to 'If i can dream' and i guess i fell in love..with Elvis.
And to this day i thank the day we went there because it was a life changing experience but it has matured me in many ways. I am 16 from the Uk and my fascination with Elvis will last until my dying day..
..I will spend my whole life through, loving you.
