I truly think that there is no ONE word that best describes Elvis. He was so many things to so many people....to try and describe Elvis in one word would be like trying to tie your shoes while on a pogo stick! Virtually impossible. Not that I'd ever try that......LOL!!

My name is Larry Blong. I first found out about a website that
carried my name from my nephews a few ago, before I knew much
about computers. It was a whole bunch of lies from a site called
sandyandelvis. They are promoting a bunch of lies and using my
name without my permission. I was a fan of Elvis first and an imper-
sonator second. My brother and I moved to Memphis in 1975
just to be around Elvis. I performed at the 1976 Elvis Convention,
where Elvis' buddy George Klein saw me. He told me, "Larry, Elvis
wouldn't want to see you perform, it would be too scary". He then
called Dick Clark in Las Vegas on my behalf. But Clark told GK he had
three Elvis guys on the strip that do Elvis better than Elvis. So I did
shows with George in and around Memphis. These scam artists took
my name from a book written by Elvis' secretary, Becky Yancey, called
"My Life With Elvis". In it I am listed as one of the top Elvis acts in the
U.S.A. I have met Elvis on two occasions in the Vickers Gas Station in
Memphis. Elvis may have known who I was through George Klein.
Elvis had more important things on his mind than to worry about me.
I am in two photos with Elvis by luck as a fan. Elvis never had anyone
perform for him in any way. To say that is blasphemy! He even did
most of his own stunts in Hollywood. I have told these people to
stop using my name or I will sue them and all the sites that carry their
garbage. I write Elvis "fiction" stories that I am sure Elvis fans would
get a kick out of. That pic of that guy next to Elvis is a joke and not
me. I have pics of me that at least impressed George Klein. So I hope
this starts to set the record straight. Bill Burke wrote a nice article about
me in the Memphis Press-Scimitar in 1976 called, "He is Double EL, A
Near Duplicate", with quotes from George Klein, like he must study Elvis'
moves 12 hours a day. Thanks George Klein, love you man.
