Does any one know if film of Elvis during 1956 when he was on tour with Carl Perkins, etc actually existeds it was originally called "the pied piper of cleveland" and i believe that the Col stopped it being released as he claimed it showed Elvis in a bad light.
Apparently RCA stored it in their vaults and have never released it.
I recall reading about it and I think the film was a documentary about a disc-jockey in Cleveland. Did'nt the financing fall thru, or the film was lost and never finished? At least thats off the top of my head all I recall. I just did a search on the name of the Film and it was shown once according to a site I hit- then it went into legal limbo over who owned the film. Supposedly it is in Universals vaults but still in limbo.

I tracked down the film in 1978, probably the only copy in existence, no luck, no one will ever see this or get it. The owner since has denied having the film, since I told several people about the source (probably a mistake).

The only trouble with that Wikipedia on line encyclopedia is that I just saw on the National CBS news that it is not reliable- it can be added to and edited by anyone who wants to. Schools in many areas have banned it as a source for school papers and reports. They showed how easy it was to edit and you can add anything you want truthful or not.
