One day a couple of weeks ago my friend called me to her house because she said that she had something to give me. When I got there she handed me a pack of trading cards with Elvis' picture on it, she also got herself a pack so we could trade... I thought it was unfair because she got the pack with the foil picture in it (Yes, I'm a big baby!):'(

I was wondering how many of you would get these Elvis trading cards, do you think they're worth getting, and how many of you are already collecting them?

If they're Elvis, I'd say go for it :lol: ;) . I have a few Elvis trading cards, not all in the greatest condition as they are quiet old, but still awesome to me!

Years ago I collected them I got the whole sets but am missing some of the foil type ones. Yes those foil type ones are nice!!!

I've got mine from Target for $1.99 per pack, and the company is Presspass. I only have three packs so far(Still no foil:'( ) but hopefully I'll get more. I think they just started selling them the end of last year. I seen them at Target before around Christmas time with the other trading cards. Later on though, I noticed that they pulled them off the shelves. I guess they put them out too early or something. On the front of the packages it says, "Elvis Lives". I wonder if they are as good as the ones that were put out in the past.

I just bought a box of those Elvis Lives trading cards. http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/10058985/Images/elvislives24.jpg
I found out that they have some cards in there that's called Elvis memorbilia, those are cards that has a piece of Elvis' clothing in them. That alone is what made me buy an entire box! lol silly I know! The ratio is 1:240 packs. :doh:

Yes mine is the River Group set.
I think it came in three sets following on from each other.
Heaps of nice cards.

I've seen those cards being sold at Walmart too. I haven't bought any yet.... but have seen them as I know someone who is collecting the whole set. I have the whole first set that came out in '92 in the binder and everything. (y) Don't think I'll buy this set though.:hmm:

I have cards dated 1978 edition, however, I am missing two or three. I haven't seen any of the new ones. I do collect the TV guide front covers too, anyone else?

I Have the 1992-The River Group- The Cards of his Life. There were 12 cards per pack. I have a full box of them that I got as a Birthday gift one time. They are great cards with a lot of interesting reading on the back of each card. Dovey ;)

My brother gave me a full set of those in 1978, he worked in a store which had them in cardboard displays they had gum in them. He bought 3 full boxes to finally get every card.

By the way, i have more than 300 duplicates from the RIVER GROUP 1992 cards, and i'm still looking for missing cards, so if anyone is interested.

I have a full set of the 1978 Donruss-Box Enterprise cards, am short of about 10 of a full set of the 1992 River Group card of his life and have 4 of the 1956 Bubble gum cards that are in pristine condition, two are in poor condition.

I also have most if not all of the TV guides including a couple of Canadian verisions. Diane

I just got my cards in the mail today and I can say that I've got the majority of the Elvis Lives set. Plus I got half of the Foil set. No worn cards yet. I'm being very optimistic.

Thank you so much for the offer Snowbird, everything is packed away at the moment in hopes of selling our house and moving - I have no idea where the box with the cards are. I will keep you in mind for later and maybe we could trade. Diane

Omg! Ok, I seen this "Elvis Worn" card on Ebay Express that goes with my "Elvis Lives" Trading cards that I have so I decided to buy it. It contains a swatch of this shirt: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h303/elvistacori/elvisworn.jpg

I showed my mom and she doubts that it actually came from his shirt which made me sad :'(

Hi I have , all the card sets been released from 56 on to now, okay besides the new one , have to get that one also.

btw I ahve of the 92 set enough to trade and of 56 I ahve 48 of the 66 for trde ! any good trade offer is welcome !

That is so cool:notworthy Your mum maybe wrong - it's suppose to be authentic according to the package - or did I read that wrong? I started collecting them too. My baby brother picked up a couple of packs for me when he was at Target buying his Harry Potter cards. He bought me 2 packs because "1 isn't much fun" He's my cutie.:D
If you go onto Presspack webpage, you'll notice that this is the second year EPE/PressPack has done this. Makes me :cursing: cause I missed out on the "first" go round & now I have to (hound)dog e-Bay!:D to catch up!:lmfao: so how is your collection going, Awickedreigndrop? I have 2 foils, 91 out of 100 basics, one signed autograph card & about 60 out of 100 on the second go-round basic. Oh, & 2 out of 4 timelines!

Mine is fine, I have all the base cards, 6 of the 12 foil cards. Oh, and that one worn card. I went to Target not too long ago to get some more packs but they weren't there anymore.:'( Every time I look at my worn card I squeak like a little girl! I love it to pieces!

Now I wanna start on the "Elvis Is" set. They're supposed to be at target too. Maybe I didn't look good enough because I didn't see them there:hmm:

You can still buy packs and boxes from the first year and new year on ebay. Boxes of the first year are going for in the 20's and this new year in the 30's. I just bought a couple from the first year. Should arrive soon.

Cool! I've been looking at some worn cards on ebay for the set. Too bad I'm not one of the lucky ones who find them themselves.
