Actually, this suit is not the White Spanish Flower, but the suit he used in Nashville.

Here are photos of the White Spanish Flower jumpsuit. You can clearly see the difference in design.

White Spanish Flower (http://www.silvesterselvispage.com/j076-1.html)

I understand where you are coming from, (see the post from Kenny above, I undeleted it so you can see it) he commented that it was White Spanish Flowers, so................ where do we go from here :D

This Nashville suit has a different design. Unfortunately, my copy of The Concert Years book is on loan, so I can?t check it out. If it is like Kenny said, there is obviously a mistake in that excellent book.

White Spanish Flower has the same design as the Black Spanish Flower, so it should be obvious that this Nashville suit can?t be called that. (Or it can, naturally, but it shouldn?t) :nono:

On these two color shots it's much easier to see the differences :

The " Nashville jumpsuit " has Gold / Blue incrustations while the " White Spanish jumpsuit " has Green and light Blue stones incrusted in a different manner and design.

The latter suit was displayed at Graceland in 1997 besides his " Black Spanish " counterpart, both have exactly the same design except that the Black one has red and bigger stones on it :

small correction:
The blue rain (Nashville) has blue, gold AND white stones.

The spanish suits have the exact same stone sizes. The pattern is identical.
Only the stone cabochons colours are different:

white: emerald, sapphire, emerald AB
black red: siam and siam AB
black green: emerald, emerald AB

where AB stands for Aurora Borealis. It is a titanium coating on top of the stone that gives a blue colour when looked from the side.

Well, these are the last of my photos....i was saving the best for last. Not that this is my favorite suit...but it holds a special place in my heart. It's kinda rare and it is what Elvis had on the first night I saw him in Pittsburgh. It always bugged me that it's nickname is called "the Nashville suit", since he wore it in Pittsburgh FIRST the week before (or VEGAS in Feb). I did not recognize the suit AT Pittsburgh (assuming it was new). But a month later when STRICTLY ELVIS came out, it had Sean Shaver's photos of the Nashville show...thus the name stuck.

This suit is another pattern that is simple yet busy . The stones on the suit are all round and not oval like most of his suits were, the blue stones are opaque ( light doesn't reflect through the color ) dark BLUE with speckle within the blue, not AB style with the mirror effect like on the multi colored rain and king of spade '73 suit. I have from B&K a nashville/multi colored stone belt ( multi belt #4 on the first b&K web site ) and the blue stones are bigger then normal that you see on most suits Also the colores on the suit were Blue, gold and silver, but on the belt blue, gold and ( the silver were painted) white ( on the close up belt pic you can see the paint pealed of some white stones ) . And another small detail was if you look at the belt pics and zoom you can see ( which i believe to be the only belt to have this,) small tiny gold studs around the belt holes where the chain is attatched. very cool detail thats easliy overlooked.

Awesome photos of this suit, you can see the small gold studs around the chain holes on the belt as i mentioned. These are the best photos of this suit i have seen.
