I believe it is the Light Blue Flower suit.
Elvis used Gold Vine suit in Houston, March 3rd evening show. But did he ever wear it again on tour? This picture is definetely taken on tour, but not in Houston. Could this be from Hampton Roads, March 11th?
Also, what (very) little you can see of the belt, I?d say this is Light Blue Flower suit?s belt.
But then again, I could be wrong. :'(

I also checked Paul?s Elvis Page. There is a photo with a caption: "March 11, 1974 leaving the hotel on his way to perform". Notice that Sonny and Red West are wearing the same clothes as in the picture you posted. And Elvis is wearing the Light Blue Flowers suit.

Hello everyone, I love this site. Can't believe I hadn't come across it before.
"Light Blue flowers" is a misnomer. The stones are Turquoise-actual polished turquoise stones, considered semi-precious. Close ups show the marbelization in each one, especially the belt stones.

It seem a shame that this original is not getting the care it deserves.. is it EPE that owns this or is it in private hands?

European collector sells an original Elvis Presley stage worn Jumpsuit (ElvisMatters is intermidiate). Tons of pictures of Elvis in this Turquoise suit were taken at his August/September 1973 engagement in Las Vegas. Elvis gave the suit to the Alden family, who later sold it to Jimmy Velvet. This suit was THE eye catcher of the first Jimmy Velvet Auction in Las Vegas, NV. Here is your chance to bid on a stage suit, worn by Elvis and designed by Bill Belew/Gene Doucette in 1973 for Elvis. The Turquoise Suit is also known as “The White Spanish Flower Suit” and “Aqua Blue Vine”. It is the original, authentic suit as worn by Elvis Presley – it is not a replica. The suit is in splendid condition and may very well be the last suit available on eBay, as most suits are in private collections or on display in Graceland.
Description in the Jimmy Velvet Catalogue: Elvis Presley Stage Suit, Circa Mid 1970’s. Disigned by Bill Belew. A cream-colored Stage jumpsuit having zip front closure, high Pointed collar, flared sleeves and legs with Blue lined inverted kick pleats. Studded with Faux turquoise stones and gold beads allover.

I firmly believe Elvis only wore the suit three times.
March 11, Hampton, Va.
March 14, Murfreesboro, Tn.
March 18, Richmond, Va.
And perhaps in Las Vegas September 2nd 1973.

The brass studs and rim sets cannot effectively be cleaned or re-polished without damaging the suit. In fact most studded suits appear to be in poor condition because of tarnish. The White Pinwheel is one of the worst I have seen, and it is owned by EPE. The best they can do is slow down the rate of decay and keep people from touching it. This suit looks like it's in pretty good shape to me. After all, it's 36 years old!!!

most of the wear was done when Elvis was wearing them.
The constant dry cleaning did more damage then being on display the last 30 years!
You can see this on suits that were worn often. They show more tarnish. It's because of the materials used during the cleaning.
In all these years I doubt if people touched them. The archives department uses gloves when they handle the suits.
