I have often wondered just how some of Elvis' songs (primarily his songs from the 50's) would sound like with more instruments added to the sound?
For example, I think the song Baby Lets Play House would sound fantastic with drums added and with just a tad of speed added to the tempo.
Has anyone else ever thought about the music in this manner?
Please note that I love Elvis' music just the way it is and certainly mean it no harm. Just trying to be creative (as always, lol)

As I more or less said in the 'overdub' thread, I would be open to something liek that. But what you are suggesting, adding instruments to Elvis's early material, is more of an original idea. More often than not, if somebody is talking about adding or removing something to/from Elvis's music, they are talking about taking away some of the extras added to Elvis's later music.
I take it you like the overdubs to Elvis's TV appearances from the fifties on This Is Elvis?

There is a Lp called I was the one ,from the eighties ,There is an overdubbed version of all kinds of Elvis Rock and Roll songs from the 50's
Also baby let's play house is on there and it sounds great,It's a great song that a lot of non Elvis fans DO like when they hear it at my place so let's remix this song...Join forces..

Yes, the overdubs from This is Elvis are okay in my book, but I believe that technology is much better today than it was when they were first remade, so I think they could sound much-much improved if reworked today.
As for the Iwas The One lp, yes, they did a pretty good job there, but again, with technology for remixing/remastering music being so far advanced since the time of its release, an improvement could be made.
Thanks for responding guys! :D
