I have attached some pictures for proof that my dad had seen the last 2 concerts Elvis ever played, now you can believe it or not but he knows its the real truth. He was 16 when he went and it was with the 'Elvis Fan Club' he told me that it was great and he'd a loved to have seen my face if i was there but i wasnt alive then . He says you never seen so many flashing balls in your life the mintue he walked on stage, i think he gets goose bumps when he thinks about it still.
Please believe him most people dont but people do, the photos are the proof:)

I don't quite understand this post. :hmm:

Why wouldn't people believe your dad about going to an Elvis concert?

Or did you mean that most people wouldn't believe Elvis was any good at the end?

Thanks for all your opinions i meant that people didnt believe that my dad saw Elvis in 1977 even though they saw the tickets and the conformation. My dads dad took a few photos of the concert but there a bit rubbish quality thats why i didnt post them on here

I think most people haven't seen Elvis in concert and are probably just jealous that your dad seen him. Why wouldn't they believe him when there is proof - seems like jealousy to me.

You see we know why people dont believe us because we're not from Amercia we're from England and the Elvis Fan Club in England arranged this jorney to see Elvis and other great scenes America has so thats why people dont believe us even though we show them proof.
I think it is jealousy you know.

I'm a member of the British fanclub and I did hear Todd Slaughter saying one time that he brought a group of fans to see Elvis in concert. I also heard that they were given some money to have a party after the concert. If I'm not mistaken, I think it was Col. Parker who gave this money to the British fans for the party.
This could be a different concert that your dad was at, but just the same, I can't see why people don't believe him just because he isn't from America - small minded people!

Hey, my father was at that concert too!!! My dad said it wasn't one of his best and he knew there was something wrong with Elvis.

I looked at your profile and noticed the pictures you have of Elvis. Is the last one a little calendar of Elvis, coz I have the same thing. We used to get one every year too.

What fantastc photos! I LOVE those ones taken by the audience, for those of us who never got the chance to go (I was 6 in 1977, and in Ireland) they give a sense of what it would have been like to have been there more than the pro shots do.
And if your dad was only 16 at the time and from England then people probably would doubt him today, America in the late '70s wasn't as easy to get too as we take it for granted today and to go and see Elvis would have been huge. Me, I would believe him and I'd sit him down, lock the door and say "tell me everything!"

For sure I believe you, as I also got to see him a total of 5 times! and EVERY show was just great!!

1) March '74, Alburn,Al.

2) Aug '74, Vegas.

3) April '75, Atlanta, Ga.

4)Aug.'76, Mobile,Al.

5)feb."77, Monnt. Al.

And yes when the lights go down, the kettle drums start pounding,it was fun to see the flashbulbs go off in the anticipation of Elvis entering the stage, but man when he did,the flashbulbes going off at once, was a light show within itself!!
watch the begining of EOT and bump-up that about 10 times, then you get the feeling of what it was like to see in person!
Each concert holds it's own special memories!

....While I have pics of each concert, bought from other fans,
long before the internet, I took plenty except in Vegas,
But everyone of them is a (white dot) on stage!!(n)

i believe u why shouldint we -i believe u-ur dad was very lucky to have seen elvis very last concert wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww-despite what some peeps say about elvis concerts in 77-the indianapolis concert was awesome elvis was in agreat mood and gave a great concert- mabye they should taped the indy show for the cbs special much better than what they filmed-neways......elvis still knew how to put on a show even in 77 like always until the very end -his beautiful voice never abandoned him- weather in sickness or in health elvis always gave his all to his fans on stage-thats why he was the greatest(y) :king:

Fabulous! Your Dad was so lucky. I never saw him in person, my friend did - in Houston. She & her family were sitting fairly close. Elvis spotted her & her identical twin sister & pointed at them smiling. She said it was absolutely electric. Your dad has some great memories to share.

Oh wow Thank you so much for all your replys - I really enjoy reading all your adventures about seeing or meeting Elvis - I dont see why people dont believe us i think its because these days people think we have like copied this information off some one else, well i still dont know why :)
