I like the simplicity of this Jumpsuit, when you consider some of the Jumpsuits from 1972-73-74 this was a refreshing change and probably weighed half that of a stone encrusted equiverlant.

Thanks for all of the photos I love this suite on of my favorites:cool:
I think this was a more flattering suit for his weight at the time, good contrast of white and black.

The black phoenix jumpsuit was the classiest of the latter Elvis jumpsuits, this suit would have been more flattering to wear than the mexican sundial jumpsuit worn too often in 1977.

Why is this suit listed as being from 1974-76?
Is there any evidence or any reports that he wore it in '74? I've never seen anything ...

Because it was designed in the spring of 1974. Athough he didn't use it that year we kept this as a starting point.

This is a great photo, IMO the summer of 1975 was the last time that Elvis looked healthy even if a little overweight (y)

I to agree with you here Matt.
Even during that tour #9 of 1976 in December he lost alot of weight but still did not look healthy in the face.
But there is one time in 1976 that to me atleast he did look healthy and trim. And that was the November tour. He had that sparkle in his eye, it was like he was determined to get back to fighting shape.

Great suit and very sliming . Look at Elvis wear this suit in 76 and then look at him in the Bi Centenial suit . The Bi Centenial Suit makes him look so much heavier

Don't you think the starting point should be when he first wore it? That would be the history of when he started wearing it.

I see what you mean, however it is good to understand where a suit has its origins to give you a full understanding of it's history. As with all Elvis history you can never discount some day a photo of Elvis wearing this suit in 1974? Even if that is not the case it is still important to learn the lineage of a given pattern or style to put it into context.

here's one I forgot to include....note the rhinestones in the wings (and throughout). Those sparkled in rainbow colors under the spotlights. I've never seen a photo (or film) that captured that like is was in concert.
