To me the suit is a little like the Gypsy one, not crazy about it. Although I do like this one better - the colors are better for Elvis I believe

I was at that show and it was a surprise to see since we were all expecting a more JUMPSUITY look. But the group I was in thought it was pretty cool.

With the scarf on and tucked in I like this suit, but without that deep u - shaped neckline combined with the choker, I just don't like it, same with the gypsy suit.

Just a quick reply about this suit and the "other" (Aztec) one: when compared, I find this suit more a "gypsy-style" suit with the sharkteeth and dreamcatchers etc and the design of the "other suit" looks more Aztec-style to me. I have known the names of these two suits "reversed" for as long as I can remember: the sharkteeth Gypsy and the "two eyed" Aztec. I've always loved these two, especially when I saw the Gypsy (teeth...) @ Graceland it blew me away!
Just a thought. Fantastic job on the suits, very very interesting for the jumpsuit lovers like myself!

I think this suit rocks! E always looks good in dark colors, and with the elaborate design to this costume, it really has a special look. Pity he didn't wear this one more.

I've always liked this suit, somewhat better than the Gypsy.

And I always thought it looked better with the choker than without.

In March '76, it certainly did not flatter Elvis at all, as he was too overweight on that tour to carry it off ...

In some photos this suit looks pretty cool on him, mainly those from July '75... but (like the Gypsy suit) this was one of the jumpsuits that made him look even heavier than he was, with all that stuff on it. In 1976 he really should have worn the two-piece suits instead, I think! And BTW, what was going on in Lake Tahoe in 76, he looks really bad in all the photos I've seen...

Note the two different belts worn:

Belt 1: worn during the July tour of 1975

Belt 2: worn in Las Vegas August 1975, St. Louis 22 March 1976 and Lake Tahoe May 1976.

You can compare the belts using pictures already posted in this thread.

The matching necklace was only used in 1975.

I like the pics of him in 1975 were this suit becuse he had changed his hair it was thiner on the side and think it made him look great !!

These costumes remind me of the pageant clothing worn at the Fiesta Parades of times gone by in Texas! The gowns were so elaborate, they were auditioned before being chosen, and the girls were transported to the parade floats in the back of semi-trucks!

ok... I love this jumpsuit..no matter what year he was wearing..he looked great in everything...my question is...does anybody have a good size photo of Elvis wearing this jumpsuit and standing near/next to "Kathy Westmoreland?....
