I have heard that people who visit graceland has felt his presense, just wondering if anybody had the same effect happen to them.

it's not always necessary to be at Graceland to feel his presence;) but one has to be careful to talk about these type of experiences, since they call you weirdo, nuts, fruitcake and all..forgetting we are all some kinda energy in this universe and we could travel without our bodies, and this must be even easier after we die..

If you're talking about anything spiritual or ghostly, then absolutely not. I am an athiest, so do not believe in the Man in the Sky and all that jazz. So therefore I do not believe in ghosts.
But when I went to Graceland, I definitely felt his influence and "presence", but only as it relates to my perceptions of my lifelong relationship with Elvis and his music.
When you're dead, you're dead. So he wasn't at Graceland, and hasn't been there since '77.
More's the pity ...

l have read from different people that have been to graceland, they have felt such sadness, it makes them cry, but l guess l will have to go myself to answer my own question.

In my trips to Memphis I felt things that perhaps other fans can relate to.
Firstly and I don`t want this to sound horrible but I felt a deep emptiness while I was in Memphis. Not that I wasn`t having a great time but even though we all know Elvis died when you actually see the mansion devoid of him and he isn`t there it left me feeling very empty.
Secondly when I was stood at his grave I felt like he wasn`t really there and I didn`t feel any closer to him than I thought I would.
I actually realized at that moment that I felt closer to him at home thousands of miles away just listening to his music.
I don`t want that to sound horrible but maybe its just that the reality sinks in when you`re there while at home he`s still alive in his films and his music.
I hope that makes some sense.

It makes a lot of sense Patricia. I've never been to Graceland but I'm sure if I ever do I'll be wanting to look around for him and not finding him, I'd get that empty feeling too.
Wherever he is the only place we'll find him is in our hearts........Diane

I've been there about six times, you feel a "uniqueness" but me personally I don't know about feeling his "presence". That tends to get a little tricky for me. You try to imagine looking at everything in the house as he would look at it, then you realize that's not possible. The gravesite is actually quite peaceful, most people are very quiet when walking past it, and the highway in front of the house doesn't disturb the area very much. Every time I've gone I try to look for stuff most first timers overlook.
Please explain . . .
I just have no "feeling" that anyone is buried there .
I tend to go by my instincts .
It's not a topic welcomed most places.....so, I say little about it.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. ;)

I think it's wonderfull that graceland is open for the public. Walking trough the same door as Elvis walked trough, standing next to the pool, just like he did.... The feeling you get when you're there is amazing. But I think it sure is Elvis himself who is buried there.

Oh I know You Feel, I had Same Feeling Back In 1988, In The Pool Room With another person Was next To me, Say I can Feel Him, i say I do Too. that time Graceland was starting Get big Tours and they opening The Lisa Marie (Plane) to people.
after we move To the julge room We feel him stronger .
it's something I never forget , I hadn't back since I hope next few years I go back and have same feelings like in 1988.

Personally, I think that's a selfish reaction toward a man they claim to love, a man who had enormous resources and many a good reason to have done such a thing. When I discuss this topic, there's never been a thought in my mind about "rejection" or anything so selfish . . . I've just always believed it was very possible that he did it, and if so I think that IF he did go to such extremes, he had every good right and anyone who claims to care about him would - or should - respect that fact.
Well, we think alike , good or bad .
I never thought about "him leaving me "........only that something very important would have caused him to leave.
As I read the doctor reports and the disagreements from the pathologists ; it just went on from there . "Something" was covered up that day ,even if it was Franciscos screw ups . He messed up MLK autopsy too.
Many lies were told by the city admin. the MPD & others. To this day, you still can't get anyone in Memphis to talk if you're an "outsider."

Yes, the presense of drugs in Elvis' system. It was understandably awkward for these officials to be open about the circumstances surrounding the death of the city's favourite son.

Graceland is a beautiful home. Moving from room to room, I personally didn't feel his presence, but I felt my own sense of walking where he may have walked. I did become emotional in the Meditation Garden, but not because I thought I could feel Elvis there. That area - the Meditition Garden is wonderfully peaceful, I could have sat there for hours.
