Hello Fellow Elvis Fans;
It is so hard to believe that it will be 30 years December 31 that the king performed his "infamous" concerts at the civic arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My aunt actually attended this concert and she has spoken about it on many occasions. It is a shame the world won't celebrate this milestone with some sort of tribute. It is really hard to believe the Elvis has been gone almost 3 decades. The christmas morning passing of the "Godfather of Soul," James Brown brought attention again to the fact that the originators, innovators, and the men and women who were at the beginning of an era are slowly disappearing. My mother was fortunate enough to see Elvis twice in the 75 & 76 in Cleveland, Ohio so along with the Pittsburgh concert, the Cleveland concerts hold a special place in my heart as well. Just an Elvis fan remembering...
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a safe and happy New Year...
Best Wishes,
John (Elvis42)
