YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE BEING IN MEMPHIS FOR ELVIS WEEK PATRICIA!!! (y)

I've been to Memphis twice....once in October, 1987 and the other for ELVIS WEEK 2000 and I have to say that the excitement in the air and the overall "family reunion" type of feeling that I got from being in Memphis during ELVIS WEEK with all of the other Elvis fans was simply amazing!!!

As for the guests that are involved with the ELVIS WEEK festivities, usually it is a mix of returning guests along with some new faces. For example, when I was in Memphis for ELVIS WEEK 2000, I saw The Imperials, George Klein, Scotty Moore, D.J. Fontana and Ronnie McDowell to name just a few...and I know those guys have been there several times for ELVIS WEEK over the years. But I also had the opportunity to meet Jesse Dabson, Blake Gibbons and Jordan Williams (the actors who portrayed Scotty Moore, Bill Black and Sam Phillips in the 1990 ABC TV Series ELVIS with Michael St. Gerard) and as far as I know, those guys haven't been to any of the other ELVIS WEEK anniversaries.

I think he means who will be at the 30th Anniversary Concert. Which I believe they are going to try to make it bigger than the pervious years. Scotty Moore is believe to be their during the show. He has talk about it but isn't for sure if he will be there or not. I have a friend who will be going there to see the show. He paid 250 dollars for a ticket which that is the VIP ticket. So he will let me know who was there and what went on their too. From what I have heard the show will be the same as the 2002 show which different acts that will cover he whole career. Also from what I have heard will be some more songs that wasn't done in either the 2002 or the tour. I guess they will use some more of the movie songs that wasn't use. Maybe some more footage that wasn't seen from TTWII and maybe footage that wasn't seen from EOT. It would be good for them to use songs like I Lost You, Until It's Time For You To Go, Love Me (From Hampton Concert) and many others. I know RCA recorded those shows so it wouldn't be hard to take that music out and leave Elvis' voice. So we have to wait and see what happens.

I recommend attending the Memphis Maphia reunion at Alfred's on Beale Street that has speakers such as Sam Thompson, Jerry Schilling, etc. and the Memorial Service at the University of Memphis (free) as well.

I want to go REALLY BAD to the Memhpis this August but probably will not get too. Hope everyon that gets to go has a great time. Can't think of a better time to go visit Graceland than August '07!
