hi guys

I'd like to know something from the dvd Elvis the Early Years starring Johnanthan Rhytm-Meyers.
The scene that he is standing with gladys in the garden of graceland is that really in the garden of graceland or is it just from another location in hollywood or something?
i Hope someone can help me

Bye
Dave

Not sure, but i thought they did shoot some of the movie on the grounds of Graceland, but only outside, and not inside...:hmm:

It is real Graceland ground but not the interiour.

Why couldn't they make the interiour the same or why did they not shoot inside either.

By the way that scene with Gladys in the garden was in my eyes the best scene of the film.

Camryn Manheim as Gladys was the only good thing about this televisual tripe!
One of the worsst Elvis-related things I've ever seen! (n)

I thought it was ok, nothing great or special about it really.

The same for me...I didn't dislike it so much...there were many good actors.
I don't like J.R.Meyers but he wasn't so bad...of course this doesn't mean it was PERFECT but I've seen something worse

What i really didn't like in the movie, was the fact it stopped right at the 1968 Comeback Special...was kinda like saying that was the last time Elvis was great imo  . Elvis had many great moments during the 70's and i felt that it should have continued all the way through....but thats just how I felt about it. ;)

Yes, but the same thing happened in the movie "I Walk The Line".
I think that was just a choice..to portrait his whole story you'd need 3 days of movie
In The movie "Elvis" with Kurt Russell they choose another point of view...but always partial (y)

The '79 movie with Kurt Russell has always been a favorite of mine...i thought he portrayed Elvis pretty good (y) .

It's been said many times by those close to Elvis that we was taking sleeping medication and other things in the 1960's, but no where near the amounts he was taking in the 70's...as time went by, he grew more dependent on them :'( ....

Yeah but Elvis had a really bad temper all through out his life...just like other people do.
