As a fan of the concerts, I have been wondering just what all is left in RCA's vaults. It's been said in the past that RCA has about 200 soundboards in their hands. So I wonder which ones they have. Here's a list of what they possibly could have or do have or hope they have that have yet to be released by RCA due to bootleggers releasing them first.
197O-77 Possible Soundboards From On Tour
1970-Phoenix, AZ Sept.9
1971-Boston, MA Nov.10
Tuscaloosa, AL (University of Alabama) Nov.14
1972-Knoxville, TN (University Of Tennessee) April 7-8
Hampton Roads, VA (afternoon show) April 9
Chicago, IL (afternoon bluesy show) June 17
Honolulu, HI (where he sings Blue Hawaii) Nov.17
1973-Atlanta, GA June 30
Nashville, TN (only shows ever in Nashville) July 1
Atlanta, GA (closing night and performs Memphis, Tennesee) July 3

Auburn, AL (University Of Auburn) March 5
Richmond, VA March 12
Los Angeles, CA (You Can Have Her was performed) May 11
Philadelphia, PA June 23
Omaha, NE (8:30 pm show) July 1
1975-Macon, GA (opening night-Big Boss Man, It's Midnight. Promised Land sung)April 24
Jackson, MS (Benefit show for Tornado victims) May 5
Huntsville, AL (all 5 shows) May 30-June1
Uniondale, NY (Killing Me Softly and You Better Run performed) July 19
Detroit, MI (Pontiac Silverdome New Years Eve show) Dec. 31
1976-Memphis, Tennessee (his final show in his home town) July 5
Huntsville, AL September 6
Chicago, IL (this show exists) October 14
Dallas, TX December 28
Birmingham, AL (this show exists) December 29
Atlanta, GA December 30
1977-Indianapolis, IN (the final show, if it exists) June 26
Out of the 30+ shows I just listed, my top 5 Most Wanted would look like this.
1)Hampton Roads April 9, 1972 afternoon show- (This concert was unique and EP performed Proud Mary, and the rare One Night and Jailhouse Rock at this show plus all of the other songs from the evening show.)
2)Jackson, MS May 5 1975-(This was a benefit Concert and there is no known set list or a bootleg version that I know of form this unique and rarely done performance. There could be some surprises if we got this.)
3)Uniondale, NY July 19,1975-(This show at the Nassau Coliseum is a fantastic performance all around. EP sings Bossom Of Abraham, You Better Run and joins Voice on Killing Me Softly. EP was in great form the entire hour he was onstage.)
4)Birmingham, AL December 29, 1976-(Even though this has been released by bootleg, I still would love to see this make an official RCA main stream release of some sort. It's too good to be held back.
5)Atlanta, GA July 3, 1973-(I have heard this concert in audience recording and the whole show was exciting and electric! EP sang Memphis, Tennessee and the rock medley, and Help Me Make It through The Night at this show.)
NOTE:I didn't select the Huntsville shows only to give the other shows a chance. Besides I have better audience recordings of those shows than what the soundboards sounded like from these May-June shows.
Maybe RCA will give us a box set of 4 concerts highlighting different tours.:D
