I am impressed with the number of fans and experts on this website. I love it! Anyway just wondering if you guys could tell a difference in Elvis's features after he a facelift and work done in June 1975? I can most see it on the July tour, just wondering what your thoughts were on it?

No not really, i can't see any differance. i think Elvis' fear of aging good him a goodie and that's why he had the surgery.

Can you see any differance?

He had surgery done around his eyes, more specifically, his eyelids I believe. If you notice, they never did look the same after June of 1975, which is a shame.

I recall Billy Smith talking about how the doctor was saying that when Elvis went to have this done the doctor told Elvis how do you make something that is already perfect, better. Guess Elvis wanted a more youthful look, and with him in the spotlight it was probably hard on him getting older and hitting forty.

The difference is quite noticeable, actually. Look around in the gallery and you'll find some evidence of this. Think of the photo on the cover of the Boulevard album, which was taken in June and compare the way he looked then with photos from the July tour and later.

I don't think he did have surgery, although I did read in Joe Esposito's book "Good Rocking Tonight" that he had his nose done - just a little to make it look slimmer & he talked his friend George Klein (I think, it's been a while since I read the book) into having surgery also. But I don't notice a significant difference in either area - eyes or nose. He wa just a good looking man anyway you look at him.

See, now I've never heard any mention of this either. Nor do I see any difference in any photos. Is there documented proof by the doctor that this was done? Just wondering.

It is a documented fact. On June 15 Elvis was admitted to Mid-South Hospital for what was officially called "an extensive eye examination" but was actually this cosmetic eye surgery. Dr. Asghan Koleyni, after trying to talk Elvis out of it (along with Dr.Nick), performed the surgery. Elvis was released from the hospital two days later.

You can tell the difference alot more in the pictures you have posted Bobby than from the ones I posted...there is a difference, and its definitley noticable.

You can definitely tell a difference from the June tour to the July tour. I think on the July tour Elvis actually had a more youthful look. His eyes don't look as tired and they look more like they did in the 50's and 60's

They weren't the only ones who tried to talk him out of it, some of the MM did too. They all felt he didn't need it.

It was done David;) .

None of the people around Elvis (including Doctor Nick) wanted this done...it was obvious, it was because Elvis had turned 40 months earlier and was afraid of looking old...but everyone else thought he looked good as ever before, but Elvis still wanted it done.

Is this better, he's looking straight into the camera. The difference isn't a completely obvious one, it's subtle. Look around the eyelids and the sides of his eyes. The droop in his eyes isn't there in the second picture.

Even though Elvis went through with it and had it done, he still looked just as great afterwards imo .:king:

I think it's quite obvious here....his eyes don't look natural...

Elvis had another plastic surgery in 1977. First he continued to perform under the name of ORION, but later he got transformed to a nearly perfect Priscilla-Look-Alike and had his real exwife killed. In the middle of the first decade of the new century he finally sold large parts of Elvis Presley Enterprises, got transformed back into a male and bought a little island near Hawaii. Today he lives there under the name of Ohanu-Nukku-Nukku and can be seen swimming regularly. Many people admire his large collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia.
